The chains of gossip is just beyond me. As a matter of fact, it agitates every cell in my body. It's shallow and quite alarming at times.

Yes, this is a rant for those who yap away: do something more useful with your time.

Divorces on the rise!

Is there a divorce fever in Oman?

It's been on the rise in the last 5 years.
Is this going to change? get worse? or will people's appreciation for marriage simply diminish?

Many who get married don't last for more than 2 years and if they do, they break off by the 5th year.

Is it just that the new generation have low tolerance and threshold to put up with the reality of marriage? or is it our fault (the ladies) for being opinionated, educated, career-oriented for some and simply a personality of her own? Just day before yesterday, my 22 year old male cousin wants to get married so I advised him not to rush it because he doesn't really know the girl. All he said was "3ady, if it doesn't work, it's easy, I'll just divorce her".

People now consider the thought of "divorce" even before getting married?!?!

Maria Full of Grace

Quite a disturbing movie I must say.

Maria - this young 17 year old Columbian girl out on a life-threatening situation.

It points out oppression and lack of opportunity. The details of risks, determination, emotion by emotion, suspense and so on is incredibly saddening.

This film is not just a movie, it's factual (it's more of a documentary). One of the actors in there has actually dealt with the circumstances this movie dealt with.

What Maria went through was really a spiritual and physical ordeal.

Nevertheless, a fantastic movie. In a nutshell, it's about the way drugs is routed from Colombia to the US. Go figure!
